Traditionally summer solstice is the time to gather medicinal herbs such as Mugwort & St John’s wort…
We will start off by sampling some Bilberry & Nettle Seed energy balls whilst we wait for others to arrive..
We will be focusing on Hedgerow medicine and how best to use them in your daily life & prepare them. We will be looking at and discussing Mullein, Mugwort, Elder, Hawthorn, Turkey tail mushrooms, St John’s Wort, Birch polypore mushrooms, Plantain, Self Heal & Yarrow to name a few…
There will also be lots of wild food available to explore such as Wild Marjoram, Pineapple Weed, Garlic mustard, Wild Strawberries & Wild Basil!
We will finish our walk by enjoying some Wild Cupcakes on a beautiful wild flower meadow!

We Are Passionate About Teaching You All About Sustainable Foraging And Unique Wild Flavours

Join us for a guided foraging walk in Surrey or Sussex where you will learn all about the wild food that surrounds us.
Using your senses, you will identify, smell and taste plants as you learn all about their ID features and culinary uses.

Join Jim and Emily in the Autumn months to learn how mushrooms play a key role in keeping the forest alive. What mushrooms are deadly and which ones are safe to eat. Jim is an expert on all things in the mycology field and Emily specialises in edible, poisonous and medicinal mushrooms and will both be on hand and full of suggestions for culinary uses of the edible mushrooms we find. We will also explain the benefits and how to process any medicinal mushrooms we may come across.
