Emily has been foraging in Surrey since she was a child. Her mother is a practicing herbalist and her grandparents and father used to take her foraging, it has always been a big part of her life…
With over 20 years experience as a chef cooking with wild foods, her last position pre pandemic being head chef. Emily is keen to share her plant knowledge and the way that foraging and immersing herself in nature has improved not only the food she cooks but also her mental health.
Emily shares her experience of how to bring unique wild food and flavours into your kitchen…with recipes, videos, guided walks and an online community.
Jim leads our mushroom walks and will also be making a couple of special appearances at our foraging and feast event.
Jim has a life long passion for fungi, he has worked as a ranger in Surrey for over 30 years. During that time he has taught lots of people all about fungi, including a young Ray Mears, university students, scouts and fungus enthusiasts.
